Getting the best out of teacher-parent relationships

Getting the best out of parent-teacher relationships

Monday, 21 June, 2021
4pm - 5pm

We are pleased to host a webinar on teacher and parent or carer relationships for teachers and education staff.

We know workplace relationships are key to good wellbeing, and relationships between teachers and parents are really important to schools. When they are functioning at their best, teachers and parents can be partners in a child’s learning.

In this webinar we will explore the dynamics between parents and teachers, provide understanding of some of the trickier points of these relationships and give some tips and strategies on how to get the best out of them. We’ll share insights and strategies to help with particular scenarios and there will be time for questions at the end.

Each speaker brings a different perspective and set of experiences to this rich topic. We will hear from:

  • Kully Uppal, Principal of Bristnall Hall Academy
  • Michele Reilly, a parent, and representative of a Lambeth-based group for parents of children with ADHD
  • Shira Baram, school counsellor and ex-teacher

It is free to register and open to teachers, and anyone else working in education who might find it helpful.
