Management Accounts Assistant

Location: Highbury, London 
Salary: £33,000
Hours of work: 0.7 FTE

Education Support, a well-established mental health and wellbeing UK charity is looking for a Management Accounts Assistant to work with us in a part-time capacity (26.25 hours per week). We are flexible on how the hours can be worked.

Education Support is the only UK charity dedicated to improving the health and wellbeing of the entire education workforce. We provide services designed to improve the wellbeing and personal efficacy of education staff and organisations.

Our work has transformed the lives of thousands of educators – a figure that increases year-on-year with growing demand for our services. We shape the agenda through our sector leading research; work with schools, colleges and universities to advance positive change in the workplace; and help those in crisis through our emotional support helpline and financial grants programme.

What is the role?

This is a new role following a restructure established to provide timely and accurate management information. Managing a transaction officer, you are responsible for all accounting records being recorded in a timely and accurate manner, produce reports on all aspects of financial activity including monthly management accounts for review by the Head of Finance.

What will you need to succeed?

In order to succeed you will need to show initiative and be able to work independently. As you would be working in a small finance team of 4, you will need to be able to hit the ground running with good excel skills and be able to handle tasks without extensive supervision.

Essential requirements are:

  • Experienced in preparing Management Accounts
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft Excel
  • Confident and professional communication skills
  • An ability to work to tight deadlines
