Free Mental Health Awareness Training for your school

Do you work in a mainstream secondary school, PRU, Free School or sixth form college? Two members of your school might be eligible to receive a free one-day Mental Health Awareness Training.

The Anna Freud National Centre for Children and Families, a leading children’s mental health charity, are running over 130 trainings across England until March 2020 which will cover:

  • What the evidence tells us about mental health difficulties in schools
  • Spotting the early signs of a mental health problem
  • Positive approaches to promoting mental health and wellbeing in the whole school community

Training will take place in Cambridge, Leeds, Oxford, London, Birmingham, Blackburn, York and Canterbury in October 2019.

“As a senior leader in a very challenging school with lots of difficult pastoral issues, I left feeling far more aware and confident around these matters”
Vice Principal, attendee September 2019
