Thank you for supporting our Christmas Appeal | Education Support
Coronavirus update: We continue to be here to provide mental health and wellbeing support to all education staff.

Thank you for supporting our Christmas Appeal

We asked for your help and hundreds of you donated!

We raised an incredible £28,000 from the Christmas campaign and we would like to say a huge thank you to those who generously donated. Every penny will go towards supporting education staff who need us.

Over the last year, calls to our helpline service grew by 35% and thanks to your support we are there to answer every call when someone needs us most.  Following on from Christmas, January is a crucial month for us because a number of teachers find it difficult going back to work, and some may experience depression and anxiety.

You are helping us to make an amazing difference. We support all education staff who need someone to talk to, people like Kay (Principal Lecturer in English), and Victoria (Head of Geography).

“I called the Ed Support helpline several times, and from the very first call, I felt reassured and supported. They helped me break through the fog of self-doubt, worry and upset…. The qualified counsellor on the other end of the line completely understood the pressures facing teachers and listened to me without judgement.”

“The person (qualified counsellor) I spoke to was great… she reassured me that I wasn’t going crazy and that I was doing the right thing. Just that reassurance, plus a few practical pointers was exactly what I needed at the time. I was finally able to get some sleep.”
