Colmore Infant and Nursery School is a four-form entry school, known for its strong pastoral care and supportive community.

"When we were using the City Council’s Employee Assistance Programme (EAP), we found that the level of service just wasn’t meeting our needs. It was often hard to get in contact with them, and the whole process felt quite clunky. This became a real concern for us, especially after several significant events in school that had an impact on staff wellbeing. We wanted to make sure we were offering the right support to everyone who needed it.

After several staff wellbeing discussions, we decided to look for a new EAP provider - one that would be easier to access and more reliable. Since introducing the new programme, the difference has been clear. The system is much smoother to use, and staff have found it quicker to get the support they need. Those who have accessed the service have told us that the response has been really fast, which has made a big difference.

To make sure everyone knows what’s available, we’ve set up a wellbeing board in the staffroom with information about the service, and we’ve also sent clips and resources round to all staff so they can refer back to them whenever they need."
