A good reputation
We were looking for a long time for something to support our staff. We went for this EAP because it did more, and it has a good reputation.
We introduced our Education Support EAP out of concern for our staff. They’ve used it, and I know they have been thankful for it.
Because Education Support is not-for-profit you feel as though they are focused on you. That matters a lot.

Supporting staff welfare
It’s tricky as a headteacher - staff tell you what they think you want to hear but when it comes to wellbeing, that isn’t always helpful.
This type of EAP seemed to be what we needed. Staff appreciate having confidential support available because personal problems do sometimes have an impact on work.
Even though there are posters all over school, sometimes it isn’t until you remind staff that they use it. I know staff have accessed it. I’ve also used it and found it really useful.
Every month during lockdown I have carried out a welfare conversation with every member of staff where I signpost them to our Education Support EAP.
Money well spent
I would be happy to recommend it and have done so already. It’s a service that’s focused on the teachers. I think it is money well spent.
Our Governors have been very appreciative of the EAP. They have received feedback from staff which has reinforced that it’s a good investment.
The Education Support EAP has definitely delivered for us.
