Peer Support: Supply Staff

We are pleased to offer supply teachers in Wales an opportunity to create a sense of community.

Through connecting with peers, you will explore your shared experiences of supply teaching in Wales, the impact on your mental health and wellbeing and ways in which you can access support.

What is Peer Support?

In groups of six you will take part in six funded and facilitated sessions in which you explore what’s important to you.

Each session will run for 90 minutes. Your sessions will be run by a professional facilitator, who is a trained coach with experience of working within the education sector.

Why attend?

We understand that you don’t always feel heard, part of the team or settled in a school and this can have a huge impact on your mental health and wellbeing.

Peer support takes you on a journey and provides a community of other supply staff where you can share your concerns, reflect, and joint problem solve.

Our peer groups aim to improve your wellbeing, and give you the space to process your thoughts and feelings with other supply staff.

You’ll make new connections and develop new insights and perspectives.

Commitment to all six sessions is important not only for you but for the group too, as each person will benefit from your input and no doubt you will benefit from what the other participants bring.

These peer support groups are fully funded thanks to support from the Welsh Government. Places are limited, so register now!
